I'll be a beta tester for your board game and I am also very interested in what I can only assume is your anime porn comic

The comic is not anime hahahah but that is hilarious. If you are interested, I suggest googling the author Jonathan Edward Elliotte.

Essentially I have created a board game meant to be played like a hockey pool and it takes months to play.

There's a box in the middle of the board (I have to design the board and get it printed, but I have the box). The box has five locks and each player gets a key at the start of the game.

There's a bunch of back story making fun of classic fantasy tropes, but basically there's a dragon called Glorf crazy glued to the box. A player must pay him $10 tribute before each turn, then roll the dice. They land on a spot, get a card, and then they must complete the task on the card.

When they do, they can roll again. You have the option of buying out of the task too, and all the money goes in the box, and whenever you have collected five keys, you make your way through the gauntlet (three tasks) and open the box and you keep the money.

To get a key, you've got to land on someone's HQ and challange them to a game of skill. If you win, you get there key.

It's designed to take a really long time to play, and hopefully by the end there'd be over $1000 for the winner.

What if you get through all the task cards and no one has gotten all 5 keys?

Also, can a player reclaim a key after they have lost it, or are they out once they lose a key?

Also, can you post a picture of the box with Glorf (take-off from Glorfindel?) on it?

See that's a really good question, which is partly why I mentioned it. The cards are all going to have a bunch of tasks on them, then be double sided. I hope to have a couple thousand so there's a re-playability factor.

If you lose your key, you can try to get it back for sure. I will post the box later for sure.

You suck as a person and if I'm being honest, I don't like you. But this isn't for investing or trying to sell, it's just for fun. Also, I have - for the first time ever - zero creditors.

Okay. So these challenges: are they physical, mental, or mixed?

Also, can you choose the game of skill to get a key, or is there a predetermined game/games of skill?

I would not pursue the board game if I were you. Besides the fact that board games are an extremely low margin business where you will make little money, the idea is not particularly good.

Your concept is ostensibly a niche idea that would not appeal to the mainstream (lengthy playtime) combined with incredibly dull and dated mainstream mechanisms (roll and move, performing embarrassing actions).

At a high level, no one who is interested in a stupid party game would play this for more than an hour or two. Anyone who would play a board game for an extended period of time desires legitimate strategy and depth.

I think you're underestimating the people that still play lengthy D&D quests, or games like Munchkin.

But yes, the length and money required would be a no for me. But I can appreciate people trying.

The challenger are scavenger hunter style things like find a copy of Ghost Dad on VHS or write and perform an original song. Some are character based (like one of the characters in the game is a hobo, so you might draw a 'take the hobo to lunch' card)

You can challenge someone to any game you can think of, and you can also buy a proxy with a predetermined tribute to glorf.

Both seem like longshots; but I guess not impossible.

Can't see Hall not becoming a free agent and Coyotes players have pretty limited playoff experience. Just saying.

I thought the king hook built up stupendously that kinda bombed out at the end. After the good read all I could think about was the dudes watching out for the time traveler. Who were they? From when or where? After such a good read I wish that tiny bit wasn’t essentially what I got out of it.

I meant more "from a macro perspective" not high level play or anything.
